An All Affirming Congregation is one that welcomes Gays into all of the life of the local church, and is gay-friendly, and believes one CAN be Christian and Gay at the same time, since God created all peoples including Gays.
We accept all people, no matter where on life's journey they are at the moment. If you are seeking for truth and knowledge, and seeking for a closer walk with God, come visit and grow with us.
We believe in the transforming power of the Holy Spirit of God working in our hearts, souls, bodies, minds, and in our lives to be more like Jesus. But that process does NOT change our sexual orientation any more then it changes our skin color or gender. These are some things God will never do, nor have any reason to change.
There are some Affirming Congregations in most denominations today. You have to go to their local church website to find more info.
This is opposed -in contrast- to churches that are Transforming Congregations, which means one can NOT be Christian and Gay,
but they welcome Gays that are seeking to transform into a "Straight" lifestyle. We believe that view to be an utter impossibility, sinful, and also un-Biblical, and against ALL modern scientific intelligence and information.
Most churches are neither, that is, they ignore gay people of faith, or else boot them out from their membership and churches (which is very sad and very un-Christ-like).

| These are the folks who run the
local daily business side of our church. All are welcome to attend board
meetings and to have input into the process. Your suggestions and comments will be considered
in up coming meetings. This is your church board of directors and they
will listen to you. Each board member
is also a liaison to one or more of the church team
ministries as listed under
Ministries where their picture is posted on that team ministry
page.
Notice that one can not be a board member and a team ministry leader
at the same time; that is why there are some team
ministry leader positions openings.
Church Board of Directors Meetings are held monthly
on the third or fourth Sunday, or
when ever needed. Anyone who has New Business
to discuss during the Sunday afternoon BOD meeting, please write
them down on paper and place a copy
of it in the BOD members mailboxes on the Sunday before the BOD
meeting. This is a newly changed rule to help with meeting duration
and flow. All BOD members are urged to check their mailbox after the
evening service as there may be those who only attend the evening
service and have items for new business. This way everyone will be
prepared for the BOD meeting and aware of topics for discussion.

Two
Church Congregational
Meetings are held each year, one in the Spring and the
other in the Fall, or
when ever needed. This is the type of meeting where the church as a
whole makes decisions, votes, and elects. There is an agenda and
items to vote on. This is the time when church board members are
elected, and other local business taken care of. Local church members only
may vote, but all may attend and have their input into the process.
This is like being a part of The Lord's Legislature, so to speak. |
