An
all
Affirming Congregation is
one that welcomes Gays into all of the life of the local
church, and is gay-friendly, and believes one CAN
be Christian and Gay at the same time, since God
created all peoples including Gays.
We accept all people, no matter where on life's journey they are
at the moment. If you are seeking for truth and knowledge, and seeking
for a closer walk with God, come visit and grow with us.
We believe in the transforming power of the Holy Spirit
of God working in our hearts, souls, bodies,
minds, and in our lives to be more like Jesus. But that
process does NOT change our sexual
orientation any more then it changes our skin color
or gender. These are some things God will never do, nor
have any reason to change.
There are some Affirming Congregations in most
denominations today. You have to go to their local church website
to find more info.
This is opposed to
churches that are Transforming Congregations, which
means one can NOT be Christian and Gay, but they
welcome Gays that are seeking to transform into a "Straight"
lifestyle. We believe that view to be an utter impossibility, sinful,
and also un-Biblical, and against ALL modern scientific intelligence and
information.
Most churches are neither, that is, they ignore gay people
of faith, or else boot them out from their membership
and churches (which is very sad and very un-Christ-like).

Ministries that make
the church go 'round...
Ministry is any work of love in
Jesus name to the glory of God by any one of the followers of Christ for
the building up of God's people here on earth! Each ministry, no
matter how small in the human's mind, is big in the eyes of God.
How can I begin to work for God?
What can I do for the church? Let the Holy Spirit lead you
through personal prayer and Bible study. Find out your ministry interests
here, or start a new ministry. Click on any of the following

find out more about that ministry. Each ministry team leader is listed below.
Become part of some ministry in the church body of Jesus Christ here
on earth! See how well we all work together, how each ministry is
interconnected with each other in helping each other, and in
communicating with each other in love, meeting our needs for the
welfare of the church body of believers.
There are "Interests" forms that you can also fill out
to see where you might fit in as you serve the church body of
Christ. What ever you do, pray for the Holy Spirit's guidance.
Let the leading of the Holy Spirit work in your life.
Ministry also is the responsibility of the pastor of the
church; therefore all Team Leaders of all the various Team
Ministries of the church -- except the Building & Grounds Team
Ministry -- will report directly to the Pastor. Consequently,
each team leader will need to have their report to the Pastor
one week before the monthly Church Board of Directors
meeting, who will then summarize and include that information in his
monthly report to the the Board. Each team ministry has it's
board liaison to act as the team's advisor, and each team will be
directly responsible to the pastor for its total ministry.
Since the Church Board of Directors has the responsibility for
the church property, the Building & Grounds Team Ministry reports
directly to
the church board in its monthly report.
